The beginnings
The first programs, written in HB pencil on 4 mm grid A5 paper, line by line, before even owning a computer. Logic first, the machine second.
The 80s
First lines executed in BASIC, then a deep dive into 6502 and 8086 assembly — programming the processor directly, byte by byte. Once you've spoken to the machine in its own language, nothing scares you.
The 80s
First steps online on BBSes — screaming modems, insider message boards. Networking, long before the web.
The 80s–90s
Pascal, C, C++: the rigour of software engineering, data structures, memory managed by hand. The foundations everything else is built on.
1994
First website online in 1994. Fun fact: JavaScript wasn't born until 1995, at Netscape. We were there before it — and adopted it from day one.
2000s
From brochure sites to real web applications: PHP, then Ruby on Rails — the framework that changed how we ship fast and well, for over a decade.
Today
Node and Svelte for fast, durable applications. 40 years of code taught us one thing: pick the tool that serves the project, not the trend.
The AI era
AI tools are part of the workshop — with an understanding of every generated line. 40 years of code to judge what the machine suggests. Not a script kiddie.
